MICTO
Motivation
Represents “why” we do what we accomplish and is an integral part of igniting the process of goal-directed behaviour; this is the driving force behind human conduct.
Inspiration
If motivation ignites the path of accomplishment, inspiration is the influence that keeps the pathway elucidated. We often feel a great sense of enthusiasm from people who inspire us to originate, create, and build.
Cognition
This is the component that binds all five facets together. It is the mental method employed to acquire and attain knowledge. This includes; logic, discernment, imagination, emotional and social intelligence.
Talent
Is a gift that endures our natural ability and aptitude, this is a facet that usually measures someone’s weight or significance. It is also a key component used to measure aptitude when performance coaching is performed.
Opportunity
An area that operates in the epicentre of “time” and “chance”, when all of the facets above work succinctly, opportunity becomes more of a probability than a possibility. Opportunity reaches those who are organised, qualified and prepared for it.
Why is Performance Coaching Important in Early Years?
New recruits and graduates are often looking for new opportunities, especially those fostering a new career with little to no experience in their chosen field. With performance coaching, we work hand in hand with those who want to achieve optimal performance in a specific time frame. We are also an outlet for those struggling with new expectations and unknown transitions that are bestowed upon new workers through motivational management and directed guidance.
Penetrating the unknown
The fear of what is unknown is usually an area that leads to a lack of work commitment. Procrastination is also a byproduct of this, penetrating the unknown can never be achieved by chasing perfectionism. A new team/office can present many problems, and new people and personalities can be a landmine of characters adding to the many challenges faced by new employees who already have ongoing targets.

Wearing the new role accurately
Whether you’re a new recruit or graduate, change is not something that is an easy feat for anyone. Change is not a natural forte, it usually requires skill, uniformity, steadiness and most importantly sacrifice. Change is incremental but over time, transformation from graduate and new recruit into their desired professional will eventually occur with time and proper guidance.
Making the uncomfortable, comfortable
When we start a role we must embrace what will be uncomfortable, new systems and protocols are very overwhelming. The expectation that is placed on new workers is also very nerve-wracking. When the above is quickly recognised new recruits can start positioning themselves to start absorbing these inevitable pressures.
