Disclaimer: This tool is not an exact science, it reflects an average of mid-range base salaries only. Wider packages, including bonus structures and long-term investment plans, will vary from company to company; and as a general rule, the latter tends to kick in at AVP level and above.

We have surveyed both the insurance and reinsurance industries to gather this data, so expect to find salary discrepancies between roles on the primary and reinsurance side, given that reinsurance organisations are notoriously more generous with their compensation packages.

You will also often see that start-up environments tend to offer a larger financial package than an established carrier,  in order to balance out the risk factor.
